Hello, campers! Today we continue our Washington state series, moving on to all the best RV parks and campgrounds that this terrific Pacific state has to offer.
Though we can’t take a look at all campgrounds in Washington, these are some of the best camp grounds that our furthest northwest state has.
Next time AllCampgrounds will take a look at state and federal lands, both of the tent camping and RV persuasion. Here are today’s picks. (more…)

Where can you see rain forests, mountains, and arid deserts peppered with terrific camp grounds, all situated along a beautiful, pristine frontier?
Well, good news: not all campsites matching this description are down in South America or somewhere around the world! In fact, if you answered Washington state, you’re exactly right!
And that makes Washington the next stop on AllCampgrounds’ 50 States Series, where we’ll begin, as we often do, with tent camping. RV camping is on the horizon for next time! (more…)

Good morning, campers!
AllCampgrounds is taking it to the next level today, looking at some of the best and brightest in national parks, monuments, trails, and rivers throughout Nebraska.
Being right at the heart of the journey for tens of thousands of pioneers and homesteaders in America’s wild frontier history, Nebraska is filled with historic trails and other signs of those thrilling, but dangerous adventures.
Not all campsites are convenient to these landmarks, and not all of them offer overnight options – so we’ve decided to delve a little deeper and give you as many different sites to check out as we can. As we know, there are always camp grounds somewhere, and finding ‘em is worth it! (more…)

Welcome back, one and all, to the AllCampgrounds blog!
Continuing our journey across the United States, we reach the central plains, heading to the heart of cattle country, to visit Nebraska.
Just shy of the geographical center of the U.S., it’s a land dotted with small towns, often with no more than 1,000 residents.
The famous city of Omaha is the largest, but with a lot of wide open spaces come a lot of great tent camping opportunities, plus RV camping both near and far away from urban centers.
Now, let’s mosey through the area once called “Where the West Begins” and find a place to set up camp! (more…)

Howdy, all! Today’s AllCampgrounds finishes up our visit to Idaho.
We’ve seen some of the best public lands, including brilliant Shoshone Falls, and visited some amazing grounds for tenting.
Now let’s saddle up the old “coach” and find the best picks for RVs. Who knows where we’ll be headed to next? The outdoors is a big, big place!
Blue Lake RV Resort: Six miles south of Bonners Ferry, which serves as home to the beautiful waterfall pictured above, this northern Idaho RV resort offers six wide pull-through sites for the biggest RVs, as well as a large assortment of other RV and tent camping locales. Pull-throughs are equipped with 30 amp electric service and wireless access. There are also back-in and partial hook-up sites. A clubhouse free hot shower, fishing, swimming, and a range of other fun games and events are included. For hunters, be aware that this place is right in the heart of Idaho’s big game country! AllCampgrounds is glad to see you back for another camping extravaganza here on our blog.
We’re going to continue our trek through Idaho now, leaving Shoshone Falls and Snake River behind to uncover the secrets of the rest of this rugged and wonderful land.
As usual around here, we’ll give tent camping a go before we swing by some RV camp grounds in our next post. Remember, despite its clean-cut “nice state” image, Idaho is mountainous and serves as the gateway to six states and the Canadian province of British Columbia.
We could write a book on the terrific camping here, nevermind a post or three! (more…)

Greetings, campers!
Rounding out our voyage through the charming state of Maine, AllCampgrounds turns to the greatest public parks and their offerings for tent camping and RV camping.
We already discussed Acadia National Park a bit in a previous post; it’s probably the best-known parkland in the state, and encompasses a lot of what campers value in Maine …
But it’s definitely not all!
All campsites have something unique to bring to the table, so here are a few other wonderful public spaces for you to consider.

Welcome back to AllCampgrounds!
In today’s post we’ll drop by New England to look at camp grounds in the beautiful state of Maine, which borders Canada in the northeast corner of the United States.
With easy access to the state of New Hampshire and two Canadian provinces, Quebec and New Brunswick, this is a great area to serve as base for camping adventures in both countries.
This time, we will discover some tent camping sites, with RV parks and campgrounds coming right up in our next visit. (more…)
